There are roughly 2 billion muslims in the world.

You need to get into the realm of ISIS = "tens of millions" of people for ISIS to not be a "tiny fraction."

So googled "Center for Security Policy" and this was one of the first hits.

Some of the criticisms of that particular poll are legitimate. However, the Pew Poll they cited also calls the idea that we are dealing with a "tiny fraction" into question. That's even though they cited it as showing a decline in support for suicide bombing. For instance, the linked Pew poll article includes this:

The percentage of Muslims saying that suicide bombing is justified in the defense of Islam has declined dramatically over the past five years in five of eight countries where trends are available. In Lebanon, for example, just 34% of Muslims say suicide bombings in the defense of Islam are often or sometimes justified; in 2002, 74% expressed this view.

I guess what a "tiny fraction" is is subject to opinion. But I don't see how anyone could consider 34%, or about one third, to be a "tiny fraction."

It's not a tiny fraction guys. Not by any reasonable standard for what a "tiny fraction" would be.

Ok Kalm below is a table from a Pew Poll referenced in the Washington Post article you linked. I don't see how any reasonable person could interpret it as supporting the statement that only a "tiny fraction" of Muslims support, in this case, suicide bombing in defense of Islam.



I also think there is probably a bias in a poll like this anyway because people who are responding are going to know that answering in the affirmative is not "popular." It's kind of like if you poll people and ask them if they are a racist. There are going to be people who know damned well that they are racists but are going to say "no."

Skelly brings up a point. I was posting Bush quotes a short while ago in some of these threads without attributing the quotes to him hoping someone would make a comment on them but no one ever did.

Check out recent quotes from the other candidates regarding Trump's muslim immigration ban and they too sound like a bunch of liberal pussies defending the Religion of Peace.

Again, Trump's take on Islam is calculated and will cause him zero harm in the primary. The glorious part is how much it's thrown the establishment (including the Republican Party) into a complete and utter tizzy.
