So what you are saying is...nothing has changed. I would argue the bigger problem is willful ignorance.

Critical thinking isn't useful without knowledge, and that's arguably where we (meaning Americans) are really deficient. There is no excuse for 30-second ads on TV still being an effective campaign tool when almost everyone has some kind of access to the internet where you can get more information in a minute than people 200 years ago could get in a month.

One thing I will say in our defense, though, is that if you look at the issues of (for example) the election of 1800 versus 2016 there's no comparison. We've got climate science, energy policy, byzantine trade deals, laws dealing with guns that didn't exist back then, ridiculously complicated taxes, and other things like that.

Great game! VA failed to punch it in at the end of the half, and barely overthrew Kupp at the end that would have sealed the deal. Then your back up shredded us in the final minute.

Had to console my crying 12 year old for the next hour about not going to Frisco.
