Economically speaking the 00’s weren’t bad until shit hit the fan in 07-08. Considering it's an older group posting here, I’m sure most of you lost considerable retirement investments/savings (and maybe that 3rd summer home) during the crash. However for a fresh college grad that was able to hang on to a job during that meltdown, it was never a better time to dump significant coin into a 401k 8-)but yeah I voted for 90’s because Dave Grohl. :coffee:
 I voted for the 90s because

1) I grew up in that decade
2) Dave Grohl
3) Claire Danes
4) Still pre-Internet but post 1995, the internet and smart technology wasn't everywhere like today
5) Rotary phones
6) Baywatch...after school and Red Shoe Diaries....after hours. :kisswink:

Showtime. Occasionally, you can watch an episode on Hulu.

Cinemax became soft core porn around midnight. There used to be a show that took place at a spa/western ranch where people would end up screwing in the saunas, or on a horse.

Tapatalk wont allow me to vote in polls, i love the 80s but grew up in the 90s. So my vote is for the 90s.

1) We actually had a budget surplus by the end of the decade.
2) Politics was more cordial and bordered on an actually intellectual discussion.
3) Gas was under a buck a gallon.
4) The world seemed much simpler back then.
5) The Weather Channel showed weather, MTV still had music, History channel still showed historical events.
6) The WWF was still the WWF.
7) Society in general was less narcissistic and selfish.

No apologies from me, there was some excellent music in the 80's, and pretty eclectic too. I think you're selling the decade short on that aspect.

There is great music from every decade but after the 70s you had to search it out among the rubbish. Before that it hit you in the face everywhere you went.

You can't push SNF off on the 80's like that. We'll grudgingly accept Madonna, Cindy Lauper, Wham, and Boy George but not disco. 8-)

You take disco and I'll throw in Talking Heads. They could justify the 80s by themselves. :coffee:

80's pop music was really quite bad. Of course there exceptions but there's also a reason that college/progressive/alternative started growing then.

Speaking of 80's pop, I just purchased tickets to take the wife to Duran Duran. I'm so getting laid that night!
