Uh....the **** started with BuzzFeed. Who, in their right mind, considers them a news source?

Actually, Buzzfeed has a pretty good investigative journalism wing with Pulitzer Prize winners. They've broken some pretty big stories that were completely true.

The Buzzfeed article is essentially "here is an intelligence memo that has made its rounds in the intelligence community and onto the desks of Obama and Trump."

That is all true and the memo is authentic. McCain and Biden have confirmed it.

Whether any or all of the information in the memo is authentic is another matter.

The media has a simple agenda...get viewers, listeners, readers, and clicks. If there was a media outlet that really did things objectively would they stay in business? Too many people only want to hear opinions like their own.

And it's going to get worse. A lot of left-wing websites I usually read have been sounding like liberal Glenn Beck with talks of democracy itself being at stake and Trump as a Manchurian candidate and something about neonazis and blah blah blah.

I've been listening to NPR and GPB radio more lately because they're actually seeming more objective about Trump than a lot of private outlets. When you go there to get a breath of fresh air it's bad...

NPR has been tough for the last two months - just like listening to some therapy session for traumatized folks. The worst was they had a climate scientist on who was detailing how he and his colleagues were squirreling away data onto flash drives and then dispersing those drives to undisclosed locations around the globe so that when Trump takes office and "turns off the switch" on climate science we can still recover all of the data in 4 or 8 years. I'm not sure the guy understands how computers work, but then again, that's not his field of expertise.
