What dumb is even the NYT suggests that what happened in that store remotely has something to do with whether the shooting was justified.

That said, the other side of the equation was happy to paint the guy as a robber when it suited, but it is still immaterial

I'll say something about a hostile Justice Department though- I've seen first hand what it looks like when they have marching orders to prosecute cops (the last time was under Bill Clinton).... it isn't pretty, and if there's the remotest shred of evidence there's some culpability there, they'll run hard with it. That DoJ investigators cleared this cop speaks volumes.

How much of this is actually relevant now? Eric Holder didn't like the grand jury's decision so he put the whole Ferguson PD under an electron miscroscope and found nothing except about 10 emails with racially-insensitive jokes.

And anyways, what were we supposed to think happened when we saw what we did in those surveillance videos? He was practicing MMA at the convenience store?
