Why would this situation blow up on the Minneapolis police? They didn't shoot the guy.. :?

And, what does it say about you if you see this video and and your initial reaction is to criticize the dude or criticize the **** girlfriend?
I don't know the answer to the first question.

What does it say about me? It says I can't imagine having my love one lying next to where I am gasping for air, afraid, and breathing their last breaths and me pretty much ignoring their distress so I can do a Facebook stream.

I didn't see what happened before that. I didn't see what happened immediately before the shooting. I didn't see the shooting.

But I did see a woman pretty much ignoring her dying fiance while she was doing a Facebook stream

When you live here, it's Minneapolis or St Paul. I live in a suburb, but my postal address shows up with either the suburb or St Paul on it. But you are correct, it is not specifically Minneapolis, it's St Anthony Police, rented by Falcon Heights and happened on the road next to the State Fairgrounds.

Police are claiming the stop was due to description matching a robbery suspect. Also claims gun was held up by deceased prior to shooting. Sounds like a cover-up for the shooting.

Strib Link

“All he had to have was reasonable suspicion to pull him over,” attorney Thomas Kelly said of his client, Jeronimo Yanez.

Kelly said his client shot Castile the night of July 6 in Falcon Heights “after he reacted to the actions of Mr. Castile.”

“This has nothing to do with race, and everything to do with the presence of a gun,” Kelly said. “Deadly force would not have been used if not for the presence of a gun.”

And instead of trying to be with him and comfort him the chick was doing Facebook. What she did contributed absolutely nothing to the case because it didn't capture the actual incident. There the guy was writhing in pain and dying and there she was doing a Facebook stream.

If someone you loved had just been shot and was dying, would you be doing a Facebook stream? Or would you be freaking out, holding them, telling them to hold on, etc.?

The cop sounded more upset over the situation than she did.
Umm....did you notice the still jacked up cop pointing a .45 at the dying guy he just pumped four rounds into? I don't think I'd have been moving and I'd have been saying "yes officer/no officer" just as she was doing.
And she also had her daughter to consider as well.

That cop may decide that he's better off if nobody is around to tell the other side of the story.

Jury's been at it for 3 days and just told the judge they are at a deadlock. Judge told them to go back and figure it out. The jury I was on was, 11-1 deadlock. We convinced the final person to swing their vote.

I think it helped with us, when we were sequestered and couldn't go home at night. This jury gets to go home at night.

If its all "guilty" with one to acquit, then this guy will be tried again

if it's the other way around, a hung jury will essentially mean an acquittal

Based on what I've read, this guy had passed the ability and the opportunity stages, but I'm not sure there was jeopardy. This was a close one.

Not sure what I would have done in this situation, but I've been in a nearly identical one where nobody got shot but there was a severe talking to afterwards

- it went something like, "If you are in legal possession of a gun, when you get stopped by me that had damn well be the first thing you tell me."

with several adjectives like "motherfvxking"
