I doubt it. More likely the conks will put their effort into voter suppression. They know your culture is conservative, it's just that they'd rather lose than have to have them around demanding committee chairs and wanting their opinion heard and shit like that. Can't let them get a foot in the door...SDHornet wrote:My people will be fine, after all, the duopoly will be fighting for our vote in 2020.houndawg wrote:

Re: The Albatross
Actually I might have been prior to the sexual misconduct allegations and prior to the Republicans nominating Trump. I liked the fact that he said he swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and that if the Federal Judiciary deviates from the Constitution he would go with the Constitution rather than with what the Federal Judiciary says. I wish we had a lot more public officials on local, state, and federal levels who would take that stance.houndawg wrote:They're just saying it to piss you off. But I think it likely that at least some of the sexual misconduct allegations were true. And I don't like the way he and those around him responded to them by attacking the women involved in the way that they did.
Another thing is that once he became the Republican Senatorial candidate I became aware of him kind of acting like a kook. Like when I was watching video of this grown man with a cowboy hat on waving his pistol around or grandstanding by riding on horseback to do things. Also got to listen to him actually talk more and came away thinking he kind of has a screw loose. I hadn't seen him talk much before. Just knew about his willingness to resist the Federal Judiciary.
In any case I did not want him to win this time because I am now in the mode of wanting to see the Republican Party destroyed. As I have written before I will never vote for a Republican again. I want to see the Republican Party go the way of the Whig Party so that, hopefully, a conservative Party with some measure of integrity can emerge. Won't happen in my lifetime probably but I'd like to see things move in that direction and the first step is having the Republicans lose control of both houses of Congress as well as the Presidency. THAT could happen in my lifetime. Could happen by 2020. I'd probably bet "no" if forced to. But it's not beyond the reasonable realm of possibility.
I was pulling hard for Jones to win.

Most reasonable people here would likely not agree with your conclusion that we had a correlation of Trump supporters to Moore supporters
So we'll just stick with "emotional speculation" until you take a forum survey that proves otherwise
