Good on ya. They usually come only in white. Damn good deals to be had on base models. It’s amazing to me how pickups morphed into Cadillacs in the past twenty years. Guys turning $20k trucks into $45K land chariots. Dumb.
Don't you love the optioned-up, squeeky clean trucks, people in the DMV area drive? Because obviously that's the type of vehicle required to drive in our area (although MD roads might as well be off-roading).

I bet 75% have never used it as a truck because they have no reason to...or they don't want a scratch.

It cracks me up when people get a 4WD and then refuse to actually use it for that. And get upset if they get a scratch. It's a 4WD - it is designed to get dirty, get scratches. The last two 4WD's I had I got a scratch within a week - Arizona pin-striping

If it has an offroad package, true- they're meant to drive hardcore offroad & gets dings & scratches muddy inside and out. But most 4WD don't have offroad packages (extra lift, off road tires, skid plates, etc), and aren't meant to do serious offroading.

If a family gets a 4WD full/large SUV or 4WD super crew ton pickup (no off road package) instead of a minivan for the same or more space, believe its safer in a collision than the lighter minivan, and only use the 4WD a couple of times a year with snow, never tow, so what..

This happened yesterday. High comedy on so many levels. Note the stock price in upper right corner. The more he babbles, the more it drops.

Was just listening to a guy at work last week say that Bitcoin was going to $60,000. In fact it was quite a few high up managers at where I work. No wonder I think the majority of them are dumbasses.

IMO opinion anything that isn't regulated and totally traceable will eventually fail or be extremely limited in their effectiveness. Governments are making a hard push to be able to track currency transactions in an effort to shut off the flow of money to terrorists, criminals and tax dodgers.

It's been fairly successful recently in developed countries as it is NOT easy to put together large amounts of cash anymore and the vast majority of currency transactions are electronic and traceable.

The sales guy referred to it as "a contractor truck"

My very first "car" was a used fleet 85 Ford Ranger long bed. Had a bench seat, AM radio, power nothing, 5 speed.

It was one of those Ford 4-cylinders with the Mazda tranny. I drove it from Charleston to Fayetteville, AR in 1992 for the Arkansas-Citadel football game. Gassing up for the return trip on Sunday, I checked the oil. Added a half quart, dropped the lid, and set off for Charleston. Climbing Lookout Mountain outside Chattanooga, my temp gauge pegged high. I pulled over, lifted the lid, and saw that I had left the oil cap off. It was still sitting on the engine block. Blew all the oil out of the motor. Who knows how long it had been out of oil. I cranked it long enough to do a U-turn and coasted back down the mountain and rolled into a gas station at the bottom. It took the full capacity of oil. Cranked up and continued my trip. I had 215,000 miles on that truck before I sold it for $500 bucks to an old guy back home I used to coon hunt with. He put another 100k on it, and when he died his son got it. I recently found out he's still driving it.

That was the best truck I ever had.

Stories like this put a misty little tear in the corner of my eye...
This is why I won't sell that F-150 my broth and I still use it - we share it now

People get 4WD here for the snow. Many don't realize it doesn't keep them on the road any better than a front wheel drive car. Helps get them out of the ditch if the snow isn't too deep.
