AZ, have a banking question for you.

Would you find it odd for a bank to loan 5% of its assets and 25% of all it's loans to an individual?

Not only odd, but also against our policies. We have concentration limits built in that would preclude that from happening....any bank that did that is asking for trouble.

It's not pretty. It's also not surprising. The answer is jobs. Full time jobs.
Obama's tax (ACA) and lack of economic initiatives have devastated many Americans.
He fucking sucked.

I thought Black People accounted for 11% of the US population

It's amazing how such a small group of Americans can destroy the entire global economy
Astounding really - please explain further this is fascinating

Rereading my post, it seems like I'm asking for a loan. ;)

Read a story a bit ago that mentioned a bank loaning someone 5% of their assets - and 25% of all their loans. Sounded pretty absurd to me - but, I wasn't an expert and wanted to run that by you. :notworthy:

AZ knows more about lending practices than anyone else on this Board. You seek wise counsel.

I cannot fathom a situation where we’d even consider lending 5% of assets to one individual. We’re a $10 billion CU...that’d be $500,000,000 to ONE person. Unreal. 25% of our loans would be over $2,000,000,000. I think our limit to one borrower is 15% of CAPITAL...which for us would be a limit of about $220,000,000 (which we’re never going to come close on, because of industry concentration limits that are much lower than that). Right now I think our max to one borrow/entity we have out there is about $45,000,000. And even that # makes my butthole pucker.
