It's fine that what I suspected didn't happen. It does surprise me. And it still doesn't matter with respect to the other side winning in the long term. The Democrats will inevitably dominate. It's not a question of if. It's just a question of when. All of the underlying trends are in their favor.
I know, I was just thinking the same thing. The don’t own the house, senate or presidency (or Supreme Court for MANY years)...they own less than 1/2 the governorships, less than half the state houses and less than half the state legislatures...but the trends are in their favor.
Let’s face it...eventually, Democrats will regain power in Washington...John can some day say he was right...

But it’s kinda like the TV meteorologists in San Diego...they predict a 10% chance of rain almost every day...eventually it happens...kinda like the stopped clock...it’s correct twice a day...

Absolutely !!! Which is why it’s so important to get as many young conservative judicial nominations through now...

The political parties gain total control about every 12 - 15years...with split ownership of the House or Senate more the norm...

But young judicial nominees last 20 - 30 years...

The liberal judges actually wanted Trump's tweets to be taken into consideration. :dunce: Tweets have ZERO to do with whether or not a POTUS (any POTUS) has the statuory authority to take certain actions. According to the statute, a POTUS either has the authority, or a POTUS doesn't. And reading the relevant statute, its clear a POTUS has the authority to do what Trump did.

As far as it being a "muslim ban" like the left likes to claim, that is ludicrous. The ban only includes 5 out of about 50 muslim majority countries, and those 5 countries only comprise about 8% of the world's muslim population.

Looking at the countries:
muslim:
-Iran: designated state sponsor of terrorism
-Syria: designated state sponsor of terrorism
-Libya: major issues with terrorism
-Somalia: major issues with terrorism
-Yemen: major issues with terrorism
Non muslim:
-North Korea: designated state sponsor of terrorism
-Venezuelan: country is falling apart right now.
https://www.state.gov/j/ct/list/c14151.htm

Heck, majority muslim Chad, was removed from the list in April after improving “its identity-management and information sharing practices".

Whether or not the ban is good policy or not is beside the point. To me its mind boggling that left wing activist judges even caused this to get to SCOTUS, and that 4 SCOTUS judges actually dissented.
