Immigration visa's peaked in 2016, the only number during Obama's tenure that exceeded Trumps numbers.

From the State Department Site, immigrant visa's for each year since 1996

2016 625,344

All of those fluctuations have been largely demand based.

I happen to know what was behind the 2016 spike... let’s see if Genius Jelly can figure it out
It's pretty obvious that 2016 was an anomaly and cannot be used as a baseline to show that Trump "slashed" visas.

Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

I don't know beyond myself. I do know they had credibility with me in that I thought they were basically sincere. I defended them many times. And I thought that there was no way Trump could be President because I thought there was NO way White Evangelical Christians would support an atrocity like that.

I had faith in them. Misplaced faith. Well, I mean, my Wife is a White Evangelical Christian and she wasn't like that. As noted before she resigned from her position on the State Republican Central Committee and left the Republican Party because it nominated Trump. But she's a rare exception.

For the most part there is this weird phenomenon by which people who have been preaching about morality for decades have thrown their lot in with a person who is about as immoral and dishonest as immorality and dishonesty get.
If they would quit fuc king children people might quit thinking poorly of them. :coffee:

The difference is that in "evangelicals" they're going to come to your door and try to talk you into living like they live. If you say '**** off' they just go to the next house. With what's become the mainstream left, they're going to scream you into submission if you dare have a dissenting opinion of how life should be lived. If you say '**** off' they call in Antifa to set you straight.
I think you need to re-examine the crowd you hang out with AZ
in 2017 ANTIFA had an estimated 23,000 members nation wide
which actually made them a slightly smaller group than the number of Neo-Nazis

so about 1 in 140,000 Americans identify themselves as a ANTIFA or a NAZI
