I think I’m becoming almost as prissy as 88. About five days ago, I joined a FB group called something like “Delawareans Against Excessive Quarantine” (trips right off the tongue, don’t it?). My FB inbox was inundated with so many ridiculous “the Governor is Hitler” posts that I withdrew from the group yesterday. Delaware’s mandatory face mask rule takes effect in about one hour. Hence the invective. I agree that our lockdown and business shutdown rules are too stringent, but Jesus H. Christ.

I have asked around and no one around here understands why fishing/hunting/hiking should be banned or whatever. (Montana has encouraged those activities)

The sheer lunacy of the loudest elements on both sides is what ends up labeling me as a centrist. It's almost impossible to talk politics anymore (outside of this board oddly enough) as you just hear ridiculous ideas topped by even more ridiculous ideas. It's exasperating.
