I'd rather be a loser with scruples than a winner without.

Maybe someday character and integrity will be back in fashion but until then I'll try and fight the good fight regardless of how imperfect I am.

I see no reason for government school teachers to discuss sexual issues of any type with children prior to 4th grade. What’s the problem?

I agree that teaching sexuality to pre-teens is wrong. I will stand against that just like I will stand against attempts to argue that the USA is a white, Christian nation.

I don't think that a transvestite reading books to pre-teens is "grooming." Acting like it is IMO is a bigoted attempt to to go back in time to when LGBT+ people were labeled groomers and pedophiles.

Why are so many tough-guy MAGAts so insecure that they're afraid of people who are different from them?

Good people aren't the ones trying to talk to kids about sex. This isn't hard to get.

Anyone trying to push sex onto underage kids is grooming. There's nothing hard to grasp about this. Tranny day at the library/school/wherever is just an angle to try and normalize this depravity to kids that don't need to be dealing with this shit.

I'll say it again: anyone that is trying to talk to kids about sex is a groomer and/or pedo. Anyone defending this is aligned with groomers/pedos. This isn't hard to grasp.

Is this where Republicans go after companies that have a difference of opinion? Doesn't seem very smart considering that Disney donates mostly to Republicans and doing this will saddle those two counties, and it's citizens, with massive debt. Also - it's nice to seethe Florida Republicans bring this up for debate on the floor....oh wait. They didn't.

The idea of teaching K-3 about sex, gender, etc.. is unnecessary and 100% politically motivated.

-Disney started the fight
-They did more than voice their opinion- they pledged to fight the bill.
-When that difference of opinion is sexualizing small children they should be gone after..
It was never about sexualizing small children. Schools weren't trying to sexualize small children.

Here's the thing: What happened here is that a State Executive and a State legislature actually enacted law to retaliate against a private business that publicly disagreed with another law they enacted. That is not a conservative impulse. That is an authoritarian impulse.

And i's consistent with what the "conservative" movement and the Republican Party have become. It's not the conservative movement anymore. It calls itself that. But it's the authoritarian movement.

State legislatures? What about the Federal fucking government? The Obama administration sued nuns. You don't remember the IRS targeting scandal or Masterpiece Cake Shop or Memories Pizza? For a guy who thinks he is so smart, yet you think this just somehow all got started in Florida last month. They set the rules, Corky.

I'm not sure what you mean by your last comment. I think it's sad that the bill is needed (is it needed?) I surely don't want a teacher telling my 1st grader about sex or gender, or sexual orientation. That's my job - one that i've had to do b/c we have a lesbian family member.

I also wouldn't want the State of South Carolina to go after me because I disagreed with them. I'm not sure it's smart to go after businesses for speaking their minds. Especially when that business is a huge employer in the state AND brings in billions of dollars into the state. It seems petty to me - which is exactly the brand of politics are parties are obsessed with.

The political left has used the police power of government to continuously go after right leaning companies and organizations for years now. That wasn't enough so I guess they decided to expand the attacks to enlist a super powerful woke corporation like Disney to go after a Conk state government. DeSantis decided to bite back and he's now the villain.

And the right is less the party of big business which isn’t a bad thing on the surface.

I’m not a fan of either, but did Disney do anything other than disagree with the right on a cultural issue? Did they threaten to withhold political funding?

I would say ultimately that DeSantis is viewed a villain for attacking math books and people’s sexual I.D. I suppose that makes him a hero to the right.

So that makes it ok for the right to use the police power of government to go after a left leaning company?

I'd rather try and get the government out of abusing their police powers then use "they did it first" as an immature excuse.

He's viewed as a villain only to hard left Donks and the media. The overwhelming majority of Conks and Independents agree with him.
