Not following this thread but I am/have been watching and it is riveting to see what a fucking scumbag POS Trump actually is. I mean I did not think I could have a lower opinion of that fucking idiot but he surpasses what I previously thought of him every fucking day. The only reason it is not a big deal to everyone is that we have a large segment of the population that has been engaged in willful blindness for about 7 years now. It's obvious that it was a significant event and a big problem. We had a strong man who lost an election trying to stay in power in spite of losing. What happened on January 6, 2021, was part of that effort. And we had a major political party largely supporting him in that effort. It was indeed a very serious and very big deal.

This is a reminder of how corrupt the Republicans were in refusing to convict him after impeachment. Both times actually. The guy is a criminal who had no business being in that office. We are fortunate that nothing REALLY bad happened while the Republicans were doing everything they could to maintain the very dangerous situation represented by having him there. He very obviously incited what happened on January 6. We have more details now but we didn't need them to know that was the case at the time.

The guy is a complete slime ball and he's always been a complete slime ball. Anybody who has been aware of him over the years knows or should know that. He lies every time he opens his mouth. He is totally corrupt. And he doesn't give a flying f*ck about the country. Oh...and he's mentally ill.

The fact that he was ever elected President is a permanent stain on the United States. A searing indictment with respect to the quality of our population. There is some solace in the fact that he lost the actual overall vote among the People both times. But somebody like that getting even something like 10% of the vote would be a sad commentary upon the People of the United States.
