TTBF, why don't people just use common sense?

Because common sense doesn't always apply. There are peanuts in things that you would never in a million years expect there to be peanuts in. It's mind boggling. The peanut industry has managed to get it's product into every nook and cranny in creation!!

DD that is a response that goes to a long standing pissing match about gun control and using common sense when hiking to avoid Wildlife that may end up eating you whether they have people allergies or not.

It wasn't intended at you or the people that have allergies in any way I'm fairly sure.

i said anyone with common sense can avoid bears when hiking - of course these guys have turned it in to "i can avoid being killed in thermonuclear war if i use 'common sense'"

I was within 8' of a bear while working on a wave runner IN TOWN a few years ago as he strolled by behind me and made a grunt. I didn't think I wasn't using common sense but started using it immediately and made my way inside as quickly as possible. When something like that happens you have a new view that some situations arise even when fairly unexpected or exercising what would normally be seen as day to day common sense.

I've never known a bear to have common sense, they pretty much go where they want to go, and eat what they want to eat, when they want. You can follow all the rules and common sense in the world, and bears really don't give a shiat.
