And you probably wanted her cremated 15 minutes after she was dead and her medical records scrubbed from the Earth
You know they would
I’m guessing her records belong with the family.

You’re the one trying to score political points because of the death of a young girl, and you have no fucking clue what happened and why she’s dead

So post the medical records or stop trying to jail people over it

Dummy. There’s zero politics involved needed here other than a preventable death due to a failure to treat brought to us by Trump and the Supreme Court. I know empathy ain’t your thing but c’mon. Be better.

Who said someone should go to jail based on only a news story? Were you thinking DA Kalm was actually filing charges or that anyone in that shithole state would actually face repercussions? :suspicious:

God I hope you’re being satirical here rather than sincere with these dumb points.

Wait…nevermind.

The lawyers will have the medical records soon enough

https://www.texasallianceforlife.org/ne ... tion-data/

AUSTIN, TX — Texas Alliance for Life points to the latest Induced Termination of Pregnancy (ITOP) report from Texas Health and Human Services, which shows that doctors in Texas have performed 119 abortions to save pregnant women’s lives or health under the medical emergency exception of Texas pro-life laws during the first 24 months after the United States Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in the Dobbs decision. The latest numbers released today show that, in June 2024, three such abortions were reported. To date, no doctor has been prosecuted, sued, or sanctioned for any of those abortions, providing clear evidence that Texas’ pro-life laws are allowing physicians to perform abortions to protect women’s lives and health.

Agreed. Trump winning the election still does nothing to absolve the countless GOP led legislatures that have completely bungled legislation regarding abortion and how abortion procedures are to be used. If a woman has to carry a stilborn baby to term because some low intelligence GOP legislator couldn't grasp what the word stillborn meant then it's a GOP failure. Restricting when babies are aborted is one thing, and debating how late that can happen is another thing, but blindly stumbling through legislation that blocks treatment for legitimate medical emergencies just because you're too stupid to do the hard research and craft good legislation is reprehensible.

how many have died? I don't know

my argument here is how quickly you and Kalm were ready to throw people in jail on the Texas case without knowing the entire medical situation and exactly what happened.... I suspect neither of you know the entire story just yet

So we should trust the Texas Alliance for Life over dozens of actual journalistic news reports?

I think I see part of the problem here.

Do you have any sense of empathy, or is everything about defending your side?

I’m surprised you haven’t yet blamed Biden for this death.

Your first instinct is to question the veracity of countless news reports rather than display empathy over an unnecessary tragedy.

IL’s blantantly unconstitutional anti 2A bill tossed in fed court. Their fat ass gov can bloviate all he wants about it. ZERO chance it survives SCOTUS scrutiny. It will lead to the anti 2A sporting rifle bans getting tossed in the other blue states also.
US judge tosses Illinois’ ban on semiautomatic weapons, governor pledges swift appeal

………U.S. District Judge Stephen P. McGlynn, of the Southern District of Illinois, issued a permanent injunction he said applies universally, not just to the lawsuit’s plaintiffs. He decided, however, that the injunction would not take effect for 30 days.

Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul responded speedily, filing a notice of appeal Friday evening.

The Protect Illinois Communities Act, signed into law in January 2023 by Democratic Gov. J.B. Pritzker, took effect Jan. 1. It bans AR-15 rifles and similar guns, large-capacity magazines and an assortment of attachments largely in response to the 2022 Independence Day shooting at a parade in the Chicago suburb of Highland Park.

The opinion drew heavily from recent landmark Supreme Court rulings expanding on the definition of the Second Amendment’s guarantees.

“Sadly, there are those who seek to usher in a sort of post-Constitution era where the citizens’ individual rights are only as important as they are convenient to a ruling class,” McGlynn wrote in his opinion. “The oft-quoted phrase that ‘no right is absolute’ does not mean that fundamental rights precariously subsist subject to the whims, caprice, or appetite of government officials or judges.”……

Are there states where pregnant women have died because medical staff were afraid to provide care until it was too late?

Who is at fault? The medical staff or the legislators who passed overly restrictive, poorly written and threatening anti-abortion laws?

Is it about saving lives or controlling women?
