Fair. It depends on how many populist votes comprise the moderate/centrist set. One advantage is it would suggest a possible decoupling from the neo-liberal dominance in both parties that began a bit under Biden and has continued with her VP pick. Working class economics are far more popular than tax cuts for the wealthy.
I would guess that populists are drawn to the far right or far left and that there aren't a lot of moderate/centrist populists but I could be wrong.
Compared to the populists that already are in the far left (progressives) and are already in the far right (Trumpers), I can't imagine there are any populists in the moderate or center. As for what economic model is more popular, I don't think it has anything to do exclusively with the working class or the wealthy. The model most people like is the one where they don't need to worry about what the economic model is. So whatever one works and doesn't worry people is the one they want. Deep, I know, but if people are concerned about the economy it means it isn't working well. :thumb:

I’m also thinking a portion of the working class who are fairly apolitical and don’t pay much attention until the last couple of weeks.

The OG farmers in the early 20th century or today’s blue collar rust belt types. The type who go to Browns games and drink Miller products. Which is why increasing labor enthusiasm could play a roll.

Will this sociocommiemarxism never stop? Project 2025 has addressed it and will make it all go away if given the chance.

I hope all you MAGA supporters in the mean time are staying away from weather reporting and the use of GPS. If not…you too are a commie!

Have you been to a pro football game lately? $60 to park, at least $150 per ticket if you're lucky, and at least another $50-$100 (depending if you drink or not) on concessions inside the stadium. At least $500 for two people per game. Not as many blue collar rust types going to Browns, or any NFL game, much anymore. Definitely a different, and more affluent, clientele in stadium. I can tell you, games in Philly at the Vet vs games in Philly at the Linc are night and day. Still fun, but for different reasons.

The 4th estate has been busy

The media have gone on a Kamala Harris binge since the vice president moved swiftly to replace President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party’s 2024 candidate of choice, giving her the most positive coverage in modern history.

At the same time, and nearly as expected, the same media have gone on a scorched-earth campaign against former President Donald Trump, giving the Republican nominee what is likely to be a historic level of negative coverage.

That assessment comes from the latest review of network news from the conservative watchdog, the Media Research Center, which found that 84% of the coverage of Harris has been positive, while 89% of Trump’s has been negative on CBS, NBC, and ABC.

They have been doing Trump like that for 9 years why stop now?

They sucked Trump off when he was a democrat for 58 years. The second he was elected the left stopped wanting their pictures taken with him and got violent
