Here you go with another request to provide indisputable proof for something MAQA yahoos disagree with. You go first, where's your indisputable proof that the 2020 election was stolen? There is more proof that climate change is real then there is that the 2020 election was stolen.
FTR - I don't need indisputable proof. I'm not a climate scientist publishing a paper. I'm a citizen with an opinion. Climate change is real. The only thing that is debatable is how much of an impact humans have and in my opinion humankind is contributing to climate change.![]()

I've said we need to see the ballots and images that every state has a right to inspect before I am swayed one way or another, but if we're allowed to go off shoddy data like you as proof, how about Trump won 17 of 18 bellweather counties. That's about as informative as global warming is real.UNI88 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:59 amI'm glad you're pointing out to yourself that your opinion that the 2020 election was stolen is shitty and uninformed. Prime example of why administrative, bureaucratic government is bad.
Los Angeles issues only 4 permits to rebuild homes after devastating Palisades fire: report
https://www.foxnews.com/us/los-angeles- ... ire-report
Given the above, the below isn‘t surprising.. On pace for 20 permits a year. At this pace, it take 350 years to issue 7k permits.- Grading permit
- Foundation permit
- Electrical permit
- Plumbing permit
- Mechanical permit
- A demolition permit
- An encroachment permit
- The fire department needs to give you a permit
- If you have a septic tank, you need a permit for that
- You need a water and sewer connection permit
- You have to have an energy compliance permit
- An environmental permit
- Zoning permits
- Of course, if you remove any trees, you're gonna need a tree removal permit
- If you put solar panels, you need a solar panel permit
- You need any kind of specialty permits for swimming pools or retaining walls
and of course, you're gonna need your certificate of occupancy”
This is absolutely INSANE. Are we sure this is still the ‘Land of the Free?’

The problem isn’t as much the number of permits, it’s how long it takes the bureaucracy to approve them. Many states likely have similar permits. DOGE style cuts will not help in this regard.BDKJMU wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 3:34 pm Prime example of why administrative, bureaucratic government is bad.

Speaking from personal and recent existence our county Building and Planning department is understaffed to the point of not only causing delays but a serious lack of enforcement.

I’ve never been happier to live in Washington. Where rights are still defended, books aren’t banned, excellent infrastructure, environmental protection, plenty of public lands and state parks, strong economy. Sure the regulations can be frustrating and expensive (good point UNI) at times but the trade off is superior urban planning land use as well as a clean environment.Caribbean Hen wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 9:19 amBDKJMU wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 3:34 pm Prime example of why administrative, bureaucratic government is bad.

No, it is. If you can‘t count the number of required permits on 1 hand, its way too many.kalm wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 5:07 pmThe problem isn’t as much the number of permits, it’s how long it takes the bureaucracy to approve them. Ex Liberal Pacific Palisades with a couple thousand multi million dollar homes burned down now all of a sudden has a lot of libs coming out of the woodwork about govt (granted mostly local & state) regulations.
https://www.foxnews.com/media/bill-mahe ... ureaucracyBill Maher grills Gavin Newsom over California's regulations, tells him 'DOGE the s---' out of bureaucracy
The HBO host previously warned Democrats they'll become the 'Whigs' if they don't embrace deregulation
The liberal host relayed how he personally felt the sting of big government. Maher kicked off the exchange Friday by complaining to Newsom how he needed to pay out-of-pocket for "two inspections" for upgrades on his roof following the devastating wildfires in the Pacific Palisades.
"It's my roof!" Maher exclaimed. "If it falls on my head, that's my problem."
"Why do I need two inspections, which I have to pay for? You were here last time. We talked about regulations. You said, ‘Oh, it’s a completely new day,'" Maher said and made a face at the governor. "You said you were working on it."
Newsom acknowledged it's "our job" to eliminate such bureaucratic hurdles, to which Maher interjected, "How's that going though?"

Which 5 permits do you think cover all building and development codes and circumstances on a state level?BDKJMU wrote: ↑Sat Mar 29, 2025 10:28 amNo, it is. If you can‘t count the number of required permits on 1 hand, its way too many.kalm wrote: ↑Fri Mar 28, 2025 5:07 pm
