FTR - I don't need indisputable proof. I'm not a climate scientist publishing a paper. I'm a citizen with an opinion. Climate change is real. The only thing that is debatable is how much of an impact humans have and in my opinion humankind is contributing to climate change.

I've said we need to see the ballots and images that every state has a right to inspect before I am swayed one way or another, but if we're allowed to go off shoddy data like you as proof, how about Trump won 17 of 18 bellweather counties. That's about as informative as global warming is real.

Speaking from personal and recent existence our county Building and Planning department is understaffed to the point of not only causing delays but a serious lack of enforcement.

The problem isn’t as much the number of permits, it’s how long it takes the bureaucracy to approve them. Many states likely have similar permits. DOGE style cuts will not help in this regard.

Speaking from personal and recent existence our county Building and Planning department is understaffed to the point of not only causing delays but a serious lack of enforcement.

I’ve never been happier to live in Washington. Where rights are still defended, books aren’t banned, excellent infrastructure, environmental protection, plenty of public lands and state parks, strong economy. Sure the regulations can be frustrating and expensive (good point UNI) at times but the trade off is superior urban planning land use as well as a clean environment.

It’s a Sweden vs. Arkansas situation.
