The Matthew Shepherd remark was a direct and uncalled for attack on my gay colleagues in this blogspot. I do not approve of their chosen lifestyle, but I spent 25 years risking my life to defend their rights to be as stupid as they wish to be - preferrably in the privacy of their own bedroom.
