Hildabeast Slayed

Post by Ibanez »

Obama clinched the nomination last night. I watched the Clinton speech and I all have to say is...

Why all the "me, me me" talk? She couldn't even man up, admit she can't win. I never had any faith in the Clintons but everytime she opens her mouth, I dislike her more.

Remember, six, seven months ago, the Clintonistas were ready to start painting their names on White House parking spots...

The media had all but handed the general election to her...she believed all those press clippings...

I'm glad she's out...but for one brief moment...I feel sorry for her....JUST A BRIEF MOMENT...then, I just laugh my fat azz off... Image

I'm simply amazed that many people are falling for what this guy is saying. Or, more accurately, NOT saying.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.

Just keep in mind here that Obama hasn't officially won yet. His claim is technically premature, and will be until the official delegate count is taken in Denver. There is nothing to prevent superdelegates from switching allegiances between now and then. That's why Obama has to tread lightly with the whole running mate thing. There are all sorts of Donkeys who have already vowed to vote for McCain in November. If Obama can't win those over (and that likely means naming Hillary as VP), then there's a good chance that he'll get swamped by McCain or even (gasp!) lose the nomination to Hillary in Denver with a superdelegate swing.

Hillary does have a point regarding the popular vote. Had the Donkeys played according to Elephant rules, Hillary would have had the nom well before McCain won the GOP.

Do you honestly think, that supderdelegates would go AGAINST the person that has gained the necessary delegates? These people have to think about thier own careers.

Obama does NOT have enough pledged delegates to be over the mark. The only reason he's over is because of reporting of POSSIBLE superdelegate voting in Denver. The only way for that to be official is for the actual voting to take place IN DENVER.

yeah I know that. Obama has the MOST pledged delegate vote and is clearly the majority's vote. Therefore, superdelegates will feel more compelled to vote for him. Also, nobody wants to back the loser, so a mad rush to back Clinton isn't happening.

Hillary is out. She sent emails to her largest supporters to align themselves with Obama and rally to consolidate the Democrat Party before the convention. Furthermore, she only has a small chance of being selected as VP...although an Obama/Clinton ticket might bring together the hardcore Dems...many of the Clinton supporters acknowledge they only voted for her because they didn't like Obama (probably a lot due to race), ergo, that ticket would be assured to lose the Obama haters as well as drive the moderates to McCain.

One more time...let's all say it together now...

"President McCain"

(...and just remember...for a Rep to win on the coatails of the Bush Presidency will be principally due to the Dems poor selection of a nominee as well as mismanagement by the DNC of the MI/FL debacle...yet another reason I'm a conservative.)

Not so fast, Mark. "Clearly" the majority's choice? No way, dude. Hillary has the most popular votes of ANY candidate in ANY primary in history. How the cr@p is Obama then the "majority's choice?" Hillary won all the states that Donkeys have won in the past when they took the White House. Obama did not. Obama won strictly because of the Donkey Party's jacked up rules. He can't win those key states, particularly since he's not going to get Hillary's base.

Also, his oft-repeated refrain that McCain is four more years of Bush is so tired. It's also not true. If McCain were four more years of Bush, then the evangelicals would be worshipping his jockstrap. I haven't seen that happen yet, and I don't expect it to. This puts Obama in the position of being a liar. Combined with his elitist attitude (the Whole Foods controversy), his questionable associations (Pfleger, etc.), and his incredible lack of legislative experience (one of the few Hillary talking points that hit home for me), I find it highly doubtful that Obama can muster ANY show of strength in the fall.

McCain in a slaughter.
