But you could also make a case that Bush tax cuts during war time we're really just another form of deficit spending.

While almost totally eliminating Iraq makes it pretty much a wash...especially since the Afghan "surge" is more a spurt over a long time...

What is truely sad about this, with all the REAL problems this country has, people getting pissed off about kids saying a prayer.... How about putting your anger into something that will make this country a better place to live? Funny how one dickhead can say that it angers them to see a Nativity scene on the courthouse lawn so they take away my right to see it to pacify thier's...

They can, keep it to themselves. They are encourged by pastors, christian athlete associations and like minded idiots to make it as public a spectacle as possible.

True. I think Al Asad is the only base still open in Iraq. We are slowly pulling out of Iraq. It might be a "wash." I know that in Charleston, it has brought a lot of money because of the huge defense industry. The wars have driven my job and this surge has started to create many jobs here and in a few other states (that have a connection to my project).
