She's hanging in there. Me and the parents went to Eastern Montana to visit them over the 4th of July and the day we left she went into the hospital about 7 hrs. after we took off with all sorts of shit wrong like pneumonia, etc...I told my dad when we got the news that I really had the feeling she was just giving up after seeing us and he was about to turn the rig around and head right back but Grandpa said it was nothing serious. She just about passed away a couple of days later (much more serious than he had thought) but she came through it and sounds great when I talk to her on the phone now. It takes about 9 hrs. to get to their house in E. MT from Missoula and we were almost home but man we would have felt like total dicks if she had passed away and we didn't turn around and go back. She's a pretty tough bird. Thanks for the sentiments my friend.BlueHen86 wrote:

Get over myself for saying that I think this kind of shit is a way that the carnies try ot divert our attention so that us rubes don't focus on something that matters? OK...done, this matters. I think, as do you that RP is the real deal, I just wish he were a little younger so that he might have another attempt at this thing because I think he could make some real positive changes in reducing the scope of government and focusing it on things that do matter. I just think that bickering back and forth over stupid shit like this is akin to arguing over china patterns while our house is heading into foreclosure. I trust you though, so if you think it's important then I do to.Appaholic wrote:Sure it was classless....I'll admit.....but I still say Ron Paul has more integrity....votes his conscience, not his party...AZGrizFan wrote: That might be the stupidest thing you've ever written.![]()

Exactly what I mean......which of McCain's stances is his own and which is lip service so he doesn't have to join the private sector?......becoming a POW doesn't instill integrity, just means you're not good at evading the enemy......AZGrizFan wrote:Easy to do when you know there's not a chance in HELL you'll ever be elected president and need the power of the machine behind you.Appaholic wrote: Sure it was classless....I'll admit.....but I still say Ron Paul has more integrity....votes his conscience, not his party...

OK, Wesley. McCain didn't INVENT the rules, he just plays by them. If the man feels he can do some good as president and get the country back on the right track, it doesn't do any good to go Ron Paul on everyone and NOT get elected. Ron Paul may be a great guy, and might have been a great president, but he can NOT get elected unless he plays by the rules of the game in place. Doesn't make it "right", but it does make it so.Appaholic wrote:Exactly what I mean......which of McCain's stances is his own and which is lip service so he doesn't have to join the private sector?......becoming a POW doesn't instill integrity, just means you're not good at evading the enemy......AZGrizFan wrote: Easy to do when you know there's not a chance in HELL you'll ever be elected president and need the power of the machine behind you.

My point (which wasn't an attempt at duck and cover, but more just a poor example) was that McCain is merely playing by the current rules in force. Your hero choose to bring a golf club to a football game and then wonders why he can't get elected. How can he impact the country by being a fringe player?

I think that says more about the voting populace and the fact that we need an American Idol setting for out election so we know who we should vote for instead of finding the good artists on our own. Anybody that can't see that Ron Paul is a great choice and in my own opinion better than the two we are given just because he is not one of the final two in our American Idol election should try to pick up the golf clubs and turn this into the Masters with a few assholes still standing around in shoulder pads and helmets.AZGrizFan wrote:

Re: A housing issue: McCain not sure how many they own
True, but blaming McCain for the system in place is ludicrous. He tried in 2000 and failed. He tried in 2008 and was successful. He learned in 2000 that you HAD to play by certain rules, or you had no chance. And what good does he do sitting on the sidelines? Much like Ron Paul or Barr, what good are they doing sitting on the sidelines?Ursus A. I agree with both of your previous posts. That's why I got on this kick in the first place. Divert attention from the things that matter since making the candidates take a stand would let us drill down to what they are really about. I hate how stupid we all can act about this type of shit. It's about Flag pins and houses.AZGrizFan wrote:getting back on topic, I have yet to figure out WHY this is news, anyway....
