First of all, I hope your Grandmother is okay. Secondly, I think you are spot on about the partnership and that is probably the norm in most marriages.

She's hanging in there. Me and the parents went to Eastern Montana to visit them over the 4th of July and the day we left she went into the hospital about 7 hrs. after we took off with all sorts of shit wrong like pneumonia, etc...I told my dad when we got the news that I really had the feeling she was just giving up after seeing us and he was about to turn the rig around and head right back but Grandpa said it was nothing serious. She just about passed away a couple of days later (much more serious than he had thought) but she came through it and sounds great when I talk to her on the phone now. It takes about 9 hrs. to get to their house in E. MT from Missoula and we were almost home but man we would have felt like total dicks if she had passed away and we didn't turn around and go back. She's a pretty tough bird. Thanks for the sentiments my friend.

These issues should be the centerpiece of the meal we're cooking. Why wasn't the Ron Paul age issue a problem with you? I heard him make errors many times and look a fool at times in vids I've seen of him but in my mind he was the best candidate out there due to the primary message I was getting from him. I should have paid more attention to the gaffes and I would have seen the true man behind what he was trying to put forth. Thanks for the wake up call.

Get over myself for saying that I think this kind of shit is a way that the carnies try ot divert our attention so that us rubes don't focus on something that matters? OK...done, this matters. I think, as do you that RP is the real deal, I just wish he were a little younger so that he might have another attempt at this thing because I think he could make some real positive changes in reducing the scope of government and focusing it on things that do matter. Exactly what I mean......which of McCain's stances is his own and which is lip service so he doesn't have to join the private sector?......becoming a POW doesn't instill integrity, just means you're not good at evading the enemy......

If the man feels he can do some good as president and get the country back on the right track, it doesn't do any good to go Ron Paul on everyone and NOT get elected. Ron Paul may be a great guy, and might have been a great president, but he can NOT get elected unless he plays by the rules of the game in place. Doesn't make it "right", but it does make it so.

True, but blaming McCain for the system in place is ludicrous. He tried in 2000 and failed. He tried in 2008 and was successful. He learned in 2000 that you HAD to play by certain rules, or you had no chance. And what good does he do sitting on the sidelines? Much like Ron Paul or Barr, what good are they doing sitting on the sidelines?

Divert attention from the things that matter since making the candidates take a stand would let us drill down to what they are really about. I hate how stupid we all can act about this type of shit.
