Correction 'hunior, Baby Boomers are guilty of raising the most spoiled and worthless generation this country has ever seen.
In all fairness, the Baby Boomers just happened to be the generation to experience an explosion of personal wealth not seen before.
and then fuck it up with their hippy, peace loving antics and politics. :twocents:

Generation activities for late teens/early 20s...

Baby Boomers: Used a lot of pot and LSD. Ran around preaching peace and love, protesting whatever just didn't feel right, tried to set up communes, set up huge orgies, and did otherwise non-productive things

Millenials: Do more volunteer work than any previous generation in history. Drug use is less common. Teen pregnancies less common. Fewer idealistic hippies and no kooky uber-left wing campus culture.

I think we'll be okay...

Everyone knows we Gen X'ers are the best. Alternative rock, grunge rock and hanging out at coffee shops. What could be better?

First off, whoever came up with "Generation We" can get fucked, that just sounds retarded. Second, as Cleetsy/Chizzang has said before, each generation gets to decide what their world is going to look like. If you old fucks don't like it, take a flying leap, you'll be fertilizer soon enough anyway. :coffee:

So far, I'm NOT impressed with the decision making capability of Gen-we.
They HAVE decided what the future will look like http://www.gen-we.com/ SEE ENDORSEMENTS.

Interestingly enough, I think SS and Medicare are two facets of the reason we WILL see amnesty for "undocumented workers" (I don't think this administration allows the use of the phrase "illegal aliens").

This generation, Gen-We, is fewer in number, less educated, and competing for fewer "good paying" jobs (those are now overseas), than the previous generations living today - which by the way is the largest generation in US history. Who's going to bear the oppressive tax burden of supporting us "old farts"?.
Not to mention paying for the HUGE deficits our "Gubment" is saddling them with.
Undocmented Workers - that's who. An instant supply of new taxpayers.

Welcome the blame game. Just as the previous administration (who shares culpability) is blamed by the current administration for our current situation, so too will the boomers be blamed for the failings of this administration (whom Gen-we elected - with help from morons.)

I can't blame you for not wanting to read that site, but according to them the Millennial Generation has 95 million versus 78 millions Boomers.

Also, in what way are we "less educated"? I'd be willing to bet that the percentage of Millennials who go on to grad school is higher than for the Boomers.

Millenials are as dumb as hammers.

When they come to my compound looking for food I'm going to thin the herd.

I didn't say there were fewer educated, I said they were LESS educated (quality, not quantity).
That's what happens when you "lower the bar" to make higher education more accessible.
Don't believe me? Today's college grads can't even spell, let alone read or think critically.
Want to know what's worse? Their teachers can't either. That's deplorable.

Much of what passes for education today is really little more than indoctrination. If you disagree with your teacher's politics, you'll never get a decent grade. Consider, the new curriculum in environmental science springing up in institutions across the country may be a legitimate course of study - unfortunately, many textbooks and professors overlook the "body of knowledge" and devote an inordinate amount of attention to (man caused) global warming despite the mounting evidence that the concept is based on "junk science."
Question the gospel according to Al Gore and see what kind of grade you receive.
Where's the incentive to think for yourself?

Look, I don't wish to denigrate the Millenials, they're getting the shaft.
A lot of it is the fault of boomers who want to be sure that everyone gets a trophy.
The problem with reality is if you don't give its due.....it'll kick you in the ass.

BTW: I'd question just about any of the assertions made on the Gen-we website. The folks promoting the Gen-We website are a subset of the group that includes the man who discovered the love canal, invented the internet, and is going to save the world from "global warming". This group also thinks that they will spend us out our debt and that reality is a business that sells houses. Notice I didn't mention the goof-ball who spends $400.00 on haircuts and preaches energy conservation from the front porch of his 28,000 sq. foot house!

The thing is, most of the indoctrination occurs within the humanities and the social sciences - exactly the same courses of study that are declining in popularity.

I think many millennials can see the writing on the wall, and many of us are even learning skills that will be of use on your compound.
