2 problems are fixed and upwards of 20 million jobs are created in a few months.

Looks as if Obama can't win the hearts of Americans, he is planning on "creating" at least 10.8 million new voters by getting a bill through before the mid term elections that would make illegals...legal.



Yes, I am being a partisan hack here, but why else would he want it done before midterm elections, other than to pick up Democratic votes?

Obama took up the issue privately with his staff Monday in a bid to advance a bill through Congress before lawmakers become too distracted by approaching midterm elections.

In the session, Obama and members of his Domestic Policy Council outlined ways to resuscitate the effort in a White House meeting with two senators -- Democrat Charles E. Schumer of New York and Republican Lindsey Graham of South Carolina -- who have spent months trying to craft a bill.

According to a person familiar with the meeting, the White House may ask Schumer and Graham to at least produce a blueprint that could be turned into legislative language.

The basis of a bill would include a path toward citizenship for the 10.8 million people living in the U.S. illegally. Citizenship would not be granted lightly, the White House said. Undocumented workers would need to register, pay taxes and pay a penalty for violating the law. Failure to comply might result in deportation.

I wont give you fatal flaw#2 if your going to say there are jobs available and Americans are too good to do them then everybody needs to STFU about unemployment in this country. #1 correct, once you take out any non working women and children (illegal- not born in US) its probably closer to 10 million.

#2 correct, but that's only because people have welfare and unemployment benefits that Congress keeps extending over and over. Yeah, who wouldn't take unemployment or welfare over doing many of those jobs? Get rid of many of the illegals and stop giving unemployed and those who refuse to look for work Americans more unemployment and welfare. There's about 10 million jobs in construction, agriculture, landscaping, processing restaurant kitchens, maid services, factories etc (the jobs that have high numbers of illegals) that they could fill.

The notion that Americans won't do those jobs isn't true. They won't do those jobs as long as they can find better jobs or can get unemployment & welfare. They will do those jobs if its between that and homeless on the street.

I realize that it is a PATH and people MIGHT be deported. With that being said, do you really think if an illegal doesn't pay the penalty for violating the law they will be deported and denied citizenship? As for paying taxes, you can't tax someone who has only JUST become a citizen can you? So, that only really leaves one requirement to be eligible to vote - register.

I have no issue with providing a path to citizenship with the listed caveats, but find the timing very beneficial to Obama. Even if it doesn't work out that all 10.8 million become eligible to vote, he is still trying to sway their vote to the Democratic side.

I remember the fun I had with some of my liberal friends that kept talking about how Bush stole the election due to one company having the majority of the machines. Well, this time it was Obama in which the Youtube video was making the round "proving" how he stole the election because of those machines.

I do not have a problem with anyone who lawfully worked here from receiving their earned social security. They will have to take their fair share in cuts like the rest of us when this unsustainable ponzi scheme blows up, but as long as they are legal, they should not be discriminated against.
