Re: Pat Buchanan's latest
Nope.Republicans seem certain to benefit from the nation's economic crisis this November. But is there any evidence they have learned anything about economics from the disastrous Bush decade?
Do they have any ideas for a wholesale restructuring of U.S. trade and tax policy, for a course correction to prevent America's continuing decline?
Has anyone seen any evidence of it?

Good article Cid, Patrick is right on the money here although he forgot to include Reagan as another free trader.
Free trade benefits large mulitnational corporations, not America. I don't see it changing or even talked about in the corporate controlled media without campaign finance reform.

Maybe that's why absent the taxpayer bailout our vaunted "free market" system outlasted Soviet ccollectivism by a mere twenty years.

It has gotten past the point that the ruling class in DC seriously no longer cares about the citizens of this once great nation. Thank God I have no children as I would not want them to endure what is to come within the next 50 years. Folks, it's not going to get any better.

Why anyone believes Pat Buchanan about anything is a mystery to me.
