Good one. Cantor gets a bullet shot through his window from a rooftop and you are trying to pass if off as a lucky random shot into the air. What are the odds?

Pretty good, according to Richmond police

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Richmond police say the bullet that hit a window of Republican Virginia Congressman Eric Cantor's office had been randomly fired skyward.

Amid reports of threats and vandalism against Democrats who voted Sunday for sweeping health care reforms, Cantor said at a Washington news conference Thursday that a bullet was fired into his Richmond office.

In a news release, Richmond police said that the bullet had been fired into the air early Tuesday. It hit the front window of a building that houses Cantor's campaign office as it fell to back earth at a sharp angle.

Of course, all those right wing whackos can take note now - they can fire a gun right outside of someone's office in protest or some other scare tactic and be secure in the knowledge that it won't be taken as an attack since they never fired at the building directly. Super idea.

Wrong because with the 53% that voted for Obama, vs only the 30 something % that supported the Democrat Obamacare bill obviously a sizeable portion of those that voted for Obama weren't paying attention to the health care debate or they changed their minds when they found out more about it.

Think about it, if you're a Congressman (any party) in an election year, and you know that the voters in you're district were overwhelmingly against a monumental bill, and more aroused about it than you've ever seen before, would you vote for it, knowing it likely meant you would lose the election, and would possibly mean the end of your political career? The answer is obvious. Hell no! Except you had a bunch that did it anyway. There are a lot of democrat congressman in districts that went to Bush in 04' and either Mccain in 08' or barely for Obama who put the nail in their political coffin because of their vote. A lot of them would have lost anyway, but a lot probably wouldn't have.

Thank you. You've nicely demonstrated that the majority favors this monumental piece of legislation.

Don't know why you pussys are getting so worked up over this, hell, I remember Reagan standing there on TV and assuring us that if Medicare passed, all Americans would lose their freedom. :jack: You can't ever believe a word comes out of a Republican's mouth.
