A good friend of mine who lives in the Phoenix area says all they have to do catch the illegal aliens is make it illegal to ride in the back of a pick-up. Problem solved.

But I still say it's an illegal employer and border problem.

Don't they have seat belt laws in AZ? Doubt those trucks have seat belts back there.

Well, where in this thread did I say anything about illegals? But, he says I'm empathetic to illegals' rights. I'm empathetic to legal Mexicans' rights.

That is not illegal in Arizona. It has been proposed, but always voted down as an infringement on people's rights.

Border control and naturalization (immigration) is the sole responsibility of the Federal government. It is not a concurrent power.

This is not about naturalization or border control. It's about getting those who have already breached both of those problems and have become a local problem.

Gives a good idea or at least some idea though of the situation. 54% of ALL illegals are Mexican? I honestly didn't know the percentage was that high. There ain't a doubt in my mind that we need them. There has to be a way to set this all up so it is a win-win for the vast majorities of both legal Americans while providing them a path to making money and softening their impact on the local economies they reside in.

Unfortunately it's gonna take the government cracking down on the ones that hire the illegals if they have a guest worker program or something like that.

I say unfortunately because I almost never ever say we should have the government be more intrusive.
