He's going to the Gulf tomorrow. And it's been since February of 2009 that he has stayed overnight at his place in Chicago. That's a long ass time. 1 month after he was inaugurated. He's made more trips to Iraq and Afghanistan than he's made to Chicago.

I'm not really one to question a guy's vacation plans unless he's like ALWAYS on vacation. The media typically makes too much of this, anyway. Being President is a stressful enough job, so breaks MUST be a given. The media usually makes out like a GOP President on vacation is slacking on the job, while a Democratic President is merely taking a well-earned break. I usually ignore BOTH assessments because the truth in this, like for most working people, is somewhere in the middle. Very few on EITHER side of the aisle are either always on vacation or never take vacation, both of which are bad. Most are in the middle, and until shown proof to the contrary, I'll not question either side on vacations. They keep one sane in a massively cr@zy world.

He's driving golf balls toward the gulf for the junk shot. Besides, the course is a pretty good place to speak without being bugged.
