NC Residents - Take Note

Post by Appaholic »

Do you feel short-changed in making contributions to your state government? Don't you wish you could have a place to store (give) that pesky disposable income while also making a difference in the life of a lobbyist? Your problems may be solved in the near future thanks to the NC Legislature.....

Deciding to adopt a VMT fee is just the first step in the discussion, Wilson said. “Once you get your mind around that that’s what you should do, then the devil’s in the details.”

“Does this [VMT] replace the fuel tax?” Wilson asked colleagues. “Well, the answer is, ‘It could, but probably not.’ But it might be a combination of vehicle miles traveled and fuel tax. The point is: if this is an approach North Carolina wanted to move to, that’s the kind of question the General Assembly ultimately would have to answer. You would want to do a lot of math to understand exactly what you are accomplishing.”

Thanks to all of the voteres who selected a straight democratic ticket as a sign of support for Obama. Even though you had to vote for the presidential candidates seperately on the NC ballot, I'm glad to see that didn't stop you from returning to power the same corrupt group of politicians to the state level that have delivered the highest tax and fee burden in the SE USA (higher than "Taxachussests" even) while at the same time providing essential structures like the Randy Parton Theater with tax payer dollars.....

You'll pay your taxes and like it. It's the patriotic thing to do!
