This quote is in a story about local reaction to General Petraeus taking over in Afghanastan. They got local reaction because Petraeus has local ties to New Hampshire including listing it as his official residence (he recently boasted that his personal car carries "Live Free or Die" license plates.)
Anyway a member of the Londonderry, NH Legion Post said this, "He's a good man, the sort of man who will tell it like it is, regardless of whether that's actually what you want to hear or not,"
For his sake, I hope Petraeus doesn't tell it like it is to a reporter....
There was another quality quote too... "I remember that (Senator John) McCain was a big fan of Petraeus, and we're all big McCain guys in here"
