I get it, when outsiders coming in and ruining your community then you support keeping them out...even if they are American by birth.

Then unemployment for those people down in the hollers will double when half the tourist industry (hotels, restaurants, retail, resorts, tourist attractions, etc) goes belly up from losing half the tourists. And that can have a negative ripple effect into other areas like construction...

Just like in a lot of major tourist areas, many locals not employed in areas effected by tourism (hotels, restaurants, retail, tourist attractions, etc) will complain about the tourists.

But the tax rate will lower & quality of life (when driving) will improve....& having a majority of your workforce dependent upon the Tourist/Service Industry isn't exactly the sign of a robust economy to begin with...but I concede your serious point regarding my attempt (apparantly weak) in making a humorous staement regarding having to deal with touristas every weekend....
