I listened to Hitchens get his ass handed to him in a debate with Dinesh D'Souza. Hitchens would just belittle Christianity to start off his initial reply and couldn't extemporaneously come up with anything substantive. Only after D'Souza made a point and lead the conversation would Hitchens then play defense.
After hearing about Hitchens from you D1, I expected so much more. Even accepting my bias against him, he still couldn't come up with anything remotely thought inspiring.
It was actually a very civil debate and the two had been traveling around city to city debating the topic of Christianity.
I am waiting for Hitchens' article on all the prayer groups out there praying for him. Should be interesting.

Watched the Dinesh debates and Hitchens killed him, every time, as he does others. It's of course a matter of perspective and if you truly believe the fairy tales of christianity or any other dogma, then there nothing that even the most well read and intelligent, like Hitchens, can do to influence you.
You are the ones who have to defend the ridiculous - virgin birth, miracles, the bullshit that is the bible, noah's ark, your god murdering everyone and the horrible anti-human history of christianity - especially that of the catholic church. It's a tough job for you. More and more people are starting to see the light and are leaving your myths behind.
