The Obama administration is paying expenses of the “Ground zero mosque IMAM” to make a tour of the Muslim world. Expenses plus honorarium and per diem of $400 to $500 per day!!!

This is Rauf's fourth U.S.-government-sponsored trip to the region, according to the State Department. He traveled twice to the Mideast in 2007 during the Bush administration and once this year. He also will visit Qatar and the United Arab Emirates to talk about Muslim life in America.

The trip is estimated to cost $16,000 and is funded by the State Department's Bureau of International Information Programs.

This is yet another example of a tin-eared imperial Presidency by czar and fiat. If there is a case to be made that Rauf is a "moderate" muslim and worthy of carring America's torch, Obama has failed to make that case.

Evidence mounts that Rauf is more of a Trojan Horse than a true peace maker. Before the Rauf entourage lawyered up and clammed up, his wife told the 9/11 survivor's organization that the mosque was necessary to "teach Americans a lesson."
