If the original stimulus package would have been $350B for this kind of stuff it would have had a lot more bi-partison support.

The government shouldnt be rebuilding our infrastructure in the first place. What will it take? 100 years to get this all done? We'll all be dead by then. Gov't can't count ballots, how do we expect it to fix our roads efficiently?

You mean all those great roads paid for by the government in the first place? Only reason they are not in good shape is that legislatures are too cowardly to actually admit that there is a problem and to TAX to pay for it.

Government built infrastructure helps private industry. Imagine if the auto companies, trucking companies, or oil companies were responsible for building the roads?ming01 wrote:The government shouldnt be rebuilding our infrastructure in the first place. Infrastructure could be Obama's legacy. Tons of bridges and roads and etc need improvement. All that would aid business.

traffic jams would be reduced and roads would be repaired much more efficiently if it were done by private companieskalm wrote:Government built infrastructure helps private industry. They could use one. Should I contact the AFL-CIO and see about starting one up?Cap'n Cat wrote:Altar boys need a union for their working conditions.
