And the coup 'de grace....the government budget deficit as a function of GDP. Notice it NEVER left the +/- 4% band until the most current yokel took over.

Actually it's a win-win for us - I far prefer that the economy recovers and that we're all happy, healthy, and employed. If that's the case then hell yeah I'm all for another Obama term (I voted for Clinton in 96 for just that very reason).Skjellyfetti wrote:Dude sunk his chances with his ridiculously bad response to Obama's first address to Congress. If that's the best y'all have... I like Obama's chances.Rob Iola wrote:a much tougher GOP candidate (Jindal maybe?)
This is the best hope for Republicans in 2012. It's not looking very likely, though. But, if y'all want to take over the White House... you better start praying that the economy tanks.Rob Iola wrote:a double-dip recession
But unfortunately I think AZGriz has the answer that's closer to what's happening - a double-dip recession - and if that's the case then with a Dem majority Obama won't be able to count on Palin and the Tea Party bailing him out. Jindal or Romney or whoever runs on the Conk side will have a very good chance at unseating BO...

Everything's gonna be fine. Two terms for Obama and this thing will clear up. Conks offer nothing but more Bush.

Hillary is gonna crush him in the PrimaryRob Iola wrote:Actually wrt to November 2012 these primary results are bad for the Dems - by nominating a bunch of worthless Tea Party candidates and snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, Palin and her ilk will be effectively marginalized and Obama will have to face a much tougher GOP candidate (Jindal maybe?) while saddled with a double-dip recession and a Dem majority in Congress - easy pickings for a sadder yet smarter conservative majority...UNHWildCats wrote: Dont worry a Conk wont be the 45th President.....

But I will say this: if this is what it takes to ensure that big spending non-conservative Republicans get the boot then I'm all for it. I'd rather have a Dem in the seat than another Arlen Specter.

Isn't Jindal some sort of dot indian? I really can't imagine him beating his meat, let alone an incumbent Prez.
Romney is a underwearing mormon, and a known filp-flopper, next!
Then there's Sara, and that's the reality is it not?

And also the popular idea in some circles that government should do everything for everyone, including wiping their a$$es for them and protecting them from themselves.
