Time Magazine Person of the Year is .........

Post by Gil Dobie »

...........Barrack Hussien Obama, a politican. Although he appears to be a nice guy, positive motivator, great speaker, he is still a politican. Should a politican be the person of the year or a civilian like Tiger Woods, Michael Phelps, Warren Buffet etc?

Even though I think all politicians suck I have no problem with it. First African American elected as president. Seems pretty newsworthy to me.

Yeah, but other than running, he hasn't done anything with it yet. Person of the year this year? I think it is a huge milestone, but for America, and his predescesors, not JUST him personally. He didn't single handedly turn the hands of time.

Fairly weak IMO. As others have already said he hasn't done anything yet.

I am no good at these kinds of things. I just don't think that someone that got elected President, has yet to spend a day in office, is the person of the year.

I would nominate General David Petraeus for getting the Bushies to change tactics and his leadership in getting us closer to a successful exit from Iraq...

Just a thought...he did something...

The National Inquirer (I know not a person, give it to the reporter) for actually acting like jounalists and uncovering the hypocrisy of John Edwards. The NI acted like true journalistic media while the MSM was off fighting over the scraps off of Obama's table and crawling around Wasilla.

I actually like Col Hogan's suggestion. That's a big one.
