The good news for California is that Repubs picked up 2-3 House seats and passed a referendum in favor of a non-partisan redistricting commission.

The great news for California is that the newly elected Republican House majority elected by the rest of the country is unlikely to provide a federal bailout of California's massive debt. Maybe the voters will wake up and finally save the state when bankruptcy reduces the influence of the public employee unions.

First, I'd like to thank Appa for thinking of me in my waning days.

But, here's the scoop on CA.

With 19 states' legislatures switching from Dem to Rep control, as well as a net gain of 2 governorships, the redistricting over the next two years will SOLIDLY entrench Rep House control for at least the next 6 years and most likely for the next decade. Given CA's total Donk immersion, the House would be foolish to NOT utilize this opportunity to decimate CA's budgeting share well into the foreseeable future.
CA's share of grants, Fed funding for infrastructure projects, social and education programs...the list goes on and on...will be at the mercy of the Conks on the hill...

...for years.

Things are simply horrible out here after two decades of a Dem controlled legislature...

...every day I hear several stories from businesses and people (professionals too) going bankrupt. NOBODY from CA's working class has been untouched by our state's economic collapse...

...and now, we have a mentally unstable Union puppet for Governor.

The only optimism I hold is that CA's demise can be used as an example for other state's whose citizens are contemplating a dive into the Dem-a-goguery Kool Aid.

The citizens here in CA chose to ignore the national voice of reason, so they've earned what's coming.
