Biden was sworn in today for 7th term - which he will resign next week to become VP.

I read something the other day about Biden trying to get a "placeholder" appointed so his son Beau can run for the seat in 2 years when his military tour is up. I'll have to see if I can find the article.

The governor of Delaware hasn't received his asking price yet. Bidding still going on.

It's a small state, surely he can find a bidder?AZGrizFan wrote:The governor of Delaware hasn't received his asking price yet. Bidding still going on.
j/k
It does seem rather weird to swear in and then resign.
Gotta give props to Beau for not shirking his military duty to take Joe's place in the Senate. Conk or Donk, you gotta respect that.

SO NOW YOU RESPECT MILITARY SERVICE? OR DO YOU ONLY RESPECT IT WHEN IT'S SOME "FORTUNATE SON" WHO IS GIVING UP SOMETHING THAT IS NOT EVEN RIGHTFULLY HIS AS WE FOUGHT A WAR AGAINST THE BRITISH EMPIRE AGAINST POWER BEING PASSED FROM FATHER TO SON?

I'd give more props to Beau if he sent a simple email back to the major newspaper in Delaware...saying he has no intention of running for the seat...Purple For Life wrote:It's a small state, surely he can find a bidder?AZGrizFan wrote:The governor of Delaware hasn't received his asking price yet. Otherwise, he's taking part in a sham...because the governor plans to appoint a place-holder to hold the seat for Beau...
