This morning, at 6:45, mortars began firing in an official ceremony to mark the beginning of the Civil War. I was on Fort JOhnson, one of about 150 people, to witness it and it was amazing. It began with a prayer and then the Pledge of Alligience. It was a great ceremony.

i don't pledge to that flag of empire that committed such terrible crimes against my people. No Sir. This is my take.
