An old insult from an old friend, it doesn't get much better

What UN-affiliated military power is capable of enforcing a no-fly zone in Libya?
Here's a hint: there's only one.
All others will provide token assistance, like allowing us to tie up a ship or two in this port or that port. Maybe refuel a destroyer or two in Italy. Pakistan will provide 6 trucks.
the british have 1,100 planes
the french have around 900
the italians have 500
the egyptians have 884 (including 300 helicopters)

twintown knows as much about how to fight and win a war as he does about fornicating. it doesn't really matter though as he is too disgustingly fat to do either. he couldn't even defeat a sammi maker in an election and he thinks he knows how to fight and win in a shooting warCID1990 wrote:BUMPTwinTownBisonFan wrote:

How are those juggernaut NATO air forces holding up without the US, there TTBF?
WAPO: http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/nat ... story.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Buchanan invokes the Kaiser's foreign minister- "We are allied to a corpse."

And now, (since as I said before... the UN will never sanction the assassination of Qaddafi)... NATO is thinking that we need to drop a few bombs on his head (you know, it is part of enforcing a NO FLY zone... if he's dead then he can't order his planes into the air...![]()

)
NATO can't do it. They have enjoyed living under our umbrella for over 60 years and now the pigeons have come home to roost. All this for a country that never attacked us and was not a threat to our national security. (What emerges after Qaddafi WILL be a threat to it, you can put THAT in the bank).
Now we'll all get to see the cost of NOT supporting dictators who are friendly to the US. Hope everybody has already been to see those landmarks in your North African bucket lists, because it's going to be a while before you can go back there without winding up on Al Jazeera in an orange jumper.
