Then people are stupid. Really stupid.BDKJMU wrote:Well, the US giving Pakistan 3.5 billion a yr in aid in a country with a GDP of about 175 billion is about 2% of their GDP.
That would be the same as Mexico giving the US annually about 300 billion dollars, 2% of an about 15 trillion GDP.
If a wealthy Mexcio was giving a 3rd World shithole US 2% of GDP a yr in aid and the US had hiding in their midst a terrorist who killed 3000 Mexicans, and the Mexicans violated our sovereignty to kill him, no Americans were killed, but Mexico lost a top secret chopper in the process, then the US certainly shouldn't refuse to return one of their toys, considering the US was sucking off the Mexican tit to the tune of 2% of their GDP and was risking losing that if the US didn't return the Mexican chopper.
Cluck that is why people just think that they should hand over that helicopter.
Last time I checked, wishful thinking is not a good way to conduct foreign policy...nor is it helpful to believe that everyone is in some sing-a-long happy trails camp for good guys.
The funny part is that people get upset when our government/politicians are bought with dollars, but we seem to want, and even expect, other government's officials, especially the most corrupt of them, to play fair and do as we say.
Sit, boy...roll over! Bad dog.
