Let me tell you something there, Malcolm. I have been present at the deaths of damn near 50 or so young black males in the last 20 years, and you want to know what they all had in common? This: nobody saw nuttin. Nobody in the hood gives a flying fvck about the 19 year old lying there gasping through a sucking chest with a five foot long river of blood running away from him. Want to know why? Because he was shot by another 19 year old black male who will be in exactly the same place in just a matter of months if not years. I actually tried to get a dying declaration from a kid at the corner of Hagood St beside the McDonalds in Charleston. I asked him, "who shot you?" and his reply to me was "fvck you". Those were his last words. Chief Greenberg commented on the death of this kid when he was asked about what he was doing about the muder rate in Charleston. Greenberg replied to the Jive 5 reporter that he refused to be held responsible every time "one black SOB shoots another black SOB". There was this huge outcry about his comments. Why? Not because he had showed insensitivity towards the victim, and not because he was claiming he wasnt interested in the murder rate. He was taken to task because it was inferred that he was referring to these thugs' mothers as b!tches. THAT'S where the priorities in that community lie. They have to invent sh!t to be indignant about, because GOD FORBID they get indignant about the fratricide happening right in front of their fvcking faces. The African American community would rather just bury their heads in the sand than admit (where Whitey might hear) that the most lethal thing in this country to a young black man in this country is in FACT another young black man! And you know what? Piss on your notions of the white guy not giving a fvck, because I had enough young black men die on me, two of them literally in my arms, and NOBODY SAW NOTHING, and I get MY sleep haunted for years over it? FCUK YOU. That's one of the main reasons I quit law enforcement. Why should I cry or lose sleep over a culture that glorifies this sh!t? Why should I wake up at night over some bereaved mother who tells me in the same breath that she didnt see anything and also that Da Police wont do anything?
Fast forward to now. Why the hell do you expect anyone to get their panty hose in a wad over something that happens multiple times almost every night in large cities with large black populations? If Zimmerman had been black you can be sure that 1. Nobody saw sh!t, 2. Nobody saw sh!t, and 3. Nobody, particularly Jesse, Al, or the Black Panthers gives a flying fvck.
So go have your solidarity with your brothers (with at least one of whom you have a better than 20% chance of being killed by) and save your indignation for someone who gives a sh!t, and it sure isnt 99% of your fellow AFRICAN Americans unless the killer is someone who isnt black.
