Now Chris Christie has to "stay on his word" for 4 more years
He talks BIG and says all the right stuff
Let's see if he actually does the right stuff - and not just say the right stuff

Christie will be running against Hillary. If he keeps his nose clean and walks the walk between now and then..... MAYBE he has a chance.

The problem is that the GoP appears close to a fracture of some kind. If we see a third party in 2016 it'll be Hillary through 2024.

Correct. Tea Party is not the Republican party no matter how much they want it to be. Who knows, maybe the Tea Party will merge with the Libertarians to create the 3rd major party.

Oh right, It's never actually happened
Thus: Republican = Myth

:coffee: Just the facts
Well, in all fairness many of them have been victims of circumstance. Bush II had 9/11, Bush I and Reagan inherited recessions and Democratic controlled congresses, Nixon inherited Viet Nam, Ike inherited Korea, the cold war, and the need to build interstate highways. There's also the population growth to factor in.

There, conks...you're welcome. :thumb:

(I'm internet right)
Obama inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression and the Reps demand spending cuts.

They're just trying to "help" the economy.

Uh-huh.

Trying to compare the recession in 2007 - 2008 to the economy of the late 1970's is asinine.
"Stagflation", the "Misery Index", 21.5% interest rates, 13.3% inflation, oil embargoes. Compare that to the recession turned manufactured (unnecessary bailouts, bogus stimulus packages, etc) "crisis" of 2008, and you're trying to compare real apples to plastic oranges. :tothehand:
