Abortion?
Since this place has more politics than anything as of late, thought we would get this gem going once again.

Re: Abortion?
I hate abortion, and I truly believe in the sanctity of life. That means every life is important to God. The death row inmate, the Iraqi civilian, etc.
I also believe the only way to limit abortion is to provide better economic situation for mothers. That means trying to eliminate poverty. Trying to eliminate poverty is NOT on the platform for the GOP, and I don't necessarily agree with EVERY thing the dems vote on to reduce poverty. However, at least its on their platform.

Re: Abortion?
Abortions will cease when both women and men wake up and realize that fucking out of wedlock does bear the full brunt of their own responsibility and it's an act that needs to be thought through 110%.
In other words, keep yer fucking pants on until you're married. Rights vs Responsibilities and nobody in this country, from the government down to the handout recipient who doesn't do a damn thing in society, wants to acknowledge that one coincides with the other.

But sadly, abortion is a mere "choice" offered up to the Penis gods and Vaginia gods for the sake of a "good time."

Re: Abortion?
I support a woman's right to make her own decision. I support sexual education that goes beyond abstinence only and teaches safe sex. Many people forget that they were hormonal teenagers that ignored parents and teachers. Now they expect that out of teens today. I believe sex Ed efforts and safe sex efforts need to be ramped up in poorer districts where, I'm guessing, you see higher rates of abortion, teen pregnancy and multiple bastards, then you would in affluent sections. For instance, in my Senior year at a Private school (2000) one girl in all 4 years got pregnant as opposed to many more at my friends public school ( I knew 5 girls total that were pregnant in 2000).
IMO, education is everything. It will get you out of the ghetto, it'll help you make better decisions regarding health, safety, finance, etc…

Re: Abortion?
Yes, and waiting until your girlfriend tells you she is not pregnant was the absolute worse time of my life. To this day, I wish I was still a virgin. Nothing more lovely, or ordained by God, then one man and one woman, undefiled, giving of themselves totally in marriage. Just my opinion but I'd hate going to bed every night with the "love of my life" wondering just how many other cocks have been shafted up in her.Ibanez wrote:I support a woman's right to make her own decision. Would offer one critique: Those were the girls you KNEW about. The number of girls from "nice areas" who make the quiet trip to the PP clinic downtown is actually quite high...

Re: Abortion?
I used to believe in abortion for women and all that when I was a bit younger, but when you have 3 kids taken away from you and have no say in the matter...and the last one the bitch pretended that she miscarried...your views could change a bit.
I support abortion as a medical procedure, I don't support it as a birth control option...which is what it has become.
But since I'm riding the fence, I vote PITB.

Re: Abortion?
Voted "NO" but think abortion should be legal for the irresponsible of society. Is an aborted child better or worse off than a neglected child?

Re: Abortion?
Well I guess we could get an opinion representing neglected children on that if we could locate every adult that was once a neglected child and ask them if they wish they'd never been born.Is an aborted child better or worse off than a neglected child?
To me, if one says that the world is doing individuals who are aborted a favor because they're not going to have to experience being neglected and/or abused (unwanted) children, it's just as valid to say that if we find neglected and/or abused children the obvious solution would be to euthanize them so they don't have to experience that. If killing them as an act of mercy that allows them to escape abuse and/or neglect is acceptable, why is it any worse to kill them now than it would've been to kill them before they got out of their mothers' wombs? Dead is dead. They'll be no more dead if you kill them now than they would be if you'd killed them earlier during their lifespan.
Well, I believe that I must tell the truth
And say things as they really are
But if I told the truth and nothing but the truth
Could I ever be a star?

I support that however abortions shouldn't be in case Ted from the pot all team is too manly to wrap up. It has taken the place of personal responsibility.DSUrocks07 wrote:I used to believe in abortion for women and all that when I was a bit younger, but when you have 3 kids taken away from you and have no say in the matter...and the last one the bitch pretended that she miscarried...your views could change a bit.

What Ibanez said. Something like 95% of Americans aren't virgins before marriage and honestly, I would neither expect nor care if my future partner is one.Ibanez wrote:I've been there but you know what?
