Okiedokie. I looked it up. The basic pay has gone up every year for the last 40. It's the law and it will be for some time yet. The only basic allowance I found that went down was for a 50% or less handicapped, Vietnam vet medically retired under the TERA program. Obviously, this is not your brother in law.

It is possible your Bro in law lost his BONUSES. Like tax free zones, combat pay, sea service pay, housing allowance, etc.

Just breezed through this thread and noticed something. Per usual, Conklodytes have lots of problems with spelling and grammar.

Why is that important? Bad spelling and grammar hits your credibility pretty hard. Makes people breeze through your posts and not appreciate any substance that might exist. BUCDAD, I know you don't have a degree. If you do, we're all fvcked.

I don't disagree. I just didn't see a resume posted in this thread. I could be wrong though. Spelling and grammar are great for term papers and presentations. For conveying knowledge on a subject though, ehhhhhhh. I don't think my knowledge of math, financials, or politics have the slightest thing to do with grammar or spelling. It's a nice excuse though to dismiss a valid point (not saying any points were valid or not, but spelling and grammar don't change that at all.) Hell, I can't spell worth a damn or write with proper grammar, but I know tons of people a hell of a lot smarter than I am who are the same, if not worse. $.02

Thank you Cap, I try me bestest with the whole grammar thing. The fact that I am a sevant with math makes that aspect of life much more difficult, but I get through. As for singling me out, not to worry, I was just trying to give the benefit of the doubt to others, never even though twice about your intentions.
