Agree it seemed pointless and I thought the judge ruled that experts were inadmissible anyway.

Seems to me that the prosecution has had a number of witnesses who are either pointless or are favoring the Defense (even when the Prosecution is asking a question). At this point, I am not sure how the prosecution is going to get a conviction unless there is something out there that we don't know about. The defense may not even have to present its side of the case.
The female cop called by the prosecution this afternoon also seems to only make Zimmerman look like a decent person who defended himself as a last resort. It's almost like the prosecution has nothing except Precious, and her truthfulness was shot all to hell.

Anyone who riots after Zimmerman is set free deserves to be shot for simply being stupid.

This is just a total slam dunk case for the defense unless I'm living in some sort of alternate reality.
I'm thinking they knew they were fucked after the first time they spoke with her about testifying. :ohno:

Remember guys this was never about truth or justice, it was a out placating a mob and the liberal media.

The real loser in this situation is Bill Lee who was fired as Chief of Police and relieved by a black man, again, to placate a mob.

Prosecuterial overreach - they might have been able to get him on the manslaughter charge. Going for the murder conviction on the evidence they had was always a, and yes, this pun is intended, a shot in the dark. :coffee:

I think that in Florida they can still get him on manslaughter if murder won't fly, probably why they did it that way.

CNN Broadcasts Zimmerman Social Security Number

by Ben Shapiro 1 Jul 2013, 12:02 PM PDT
On Monday, CNN showed George Zimmerman’s Social Security number and other personal information live over the air, including address, date of birth, and phone number.
Officer Doris Singleton was testifying when the prosecutors showed a narrative report including Zimmerman’s information.

That immediately launched a round of tweets by Zimmerman haters celebrating knowledge of that information.

This is hardly the first time Zimmerman’s personal information has been distributed by those who oppose him. During the initial coverage of the Zimmerman trial, Spike Lee retweeted the home address of what he thought was Zimmerman’s home address. It turned out to be the wrong address. Roseanne Barr then tweeted Zimmerman’s parents’ home address. “If Zimmerman isn't arrested I'll rt his address again. maybe go 2 his house myself,” Barr tweeted.

This isn't the first element of media bias in the Zimmerman case, either. The Associated Press originally reported that Zimmerman was white. That falsehood was repeated for days by the media, heightening the racial aspect of the case.

The media also broadcast photographs of Zimmerman from a 2005 arrest rather than current photos, and conversely broadcast photographs of Martin as a pre-teen, not the 17-year-old he was at the time of the killing (the media's photographic choices actually impacted witness testimony during the trial).
NBC News manipulated tape of Zimmerman's 911 call to make it seem that Zimmerman had targeted Martin because he was black, rather than responding to 911 dispatcher questions. CNN also isolated audio of Zimmerman purportedly calling Martin a racial slur during the call -- an allegation that ended up being completely false.

Both ABC News and NBC News also alleged that Zimmerman's injuries did not exist, releasing badly-pixellated photographs from the night of the incident. As trial testimony has shown, Zimmerman was indeed injured during the incident with Martin.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. Al Swearengen

Prosecution should have redacted the personal info on the report, especially since they knew every second of the trial was being filmed. :coffee:

Zim was arrested in the past 10 years? I didn't know that. What for?

edit: resisting an ooficer with violence, domestic battery....not watching the trial but its hard to believe that that the prosecution isn't all over the history of violence and anger management problems....

I looked it up and added to my post. The charges were dropped, so they have nothing on him.

This case is all about self defense and it has become quite clear in the trial that Zimmerman used deadly force as self defense.

Sure, call him a pussy and a shitty fighter, but he's clearly innocent of 2nd degree murder.

If he was not convicted (pled guilty, etc) of any of these charges, they likely cannot be used against him and the prosecution would get in trouble if they tried.

What about the restraining order that was granted? You'd think a good lawyer would find a way to bring up the kid's violent history.. :?

Baffles me why anyone thinks a fat, adult, hispanic rolls up on a skinny 16 year old kid with a piece, and has his ass handed to him, needs to be vilified. Should convict the guy just because he is a grade a dbag and a candy ass.

I agree Zimmerman is a dbag and candyass, but let's not overplay the adult vs kid angle. Travon Martin was 6' tall and Zimmerman only 5'7". Getting jumped by a guy five inches taller puts you at a disadvantage pretty quick. Zimmerman screwed up getting out of his truck in the first place.

But at the end of the day, he's innocent. Self defense.

ha ha. Well, he wasn't fat a year ago. Look at picture from the trial and the arrest and you'll see the weight increase.

Dumbass, Zimmerman was about 5'7", reportedly about 160. Martin was 6'0" and probably outweighed him to boot...

I think you're right - he's charged with stuff below the 2nd degree murder as well so manslaughter is there. Problem now, though, is that they don't seem to be doing a very good job of even proving that charge. Almost every person brought in by the prosecution looks and sounds like they'd be a great witness for the defense. This is almost like watching that Brad Pitt movie (Sleepers), where the prosecution purposely botches the case, in real life.

I think slim to no chance even on manslaughter given what has come out at the trial. Huge prosecutorial over reach. This prosecutor ought to be canned for:
-prosecuting the case in the 1st place when there was almost no chance at a conviction.
-doing a huge over reach with a murder 2 charge
-using as their "star" witness a bumbling, as Cluck put it, Jabba the Hut. And every other witness they have called has helped the defense as much, if not more.
