Yes, Americans are bound by the laws of other countries they visit. If they are arrested and charged with something in a foreign country they should get a fair hearing/trial. Extradition is a big f'ing deal. It can involve State Depts/embassies on both sides, courts on both sides, and can be considerable cost on both sides. So if they are charged AFTER they have returned to the US they should only be extradited for murder, attempted murder..maybe a few other serious felonies. This doesn't rise to that. Not even close..

Bald Eagles are protected, lions are not protected, and are considered big game. If someone shoots a Bald Eagle they deserve to punished by law, if someone shoots a lion illegally, they deserve to punished by the law.

GD, some undeveloped people simply aren't capable of understanding the concept of hunting. They prefer to allow a species in the food chain to overpopulate and starve.
California is another perfect example...for many years, California, being "guided" by legislative activists, ratched down both deer and bear regulations and permits. Then, deer counts started creeping up, and they began overselling deer tags. Now, deer have dropped way too low, bear are oversaturated and moving into lower elevations trying to survive. The State, in response is begging hunters to take bear tags...hell, most deer zones are crawling with bear, but deer are still scarce.
If you want bear, come on down.
The activists make white noise...everyone is better off just ignoring them.
