Now THAT is a myth. This society is bending over backwards and jumping through all kinds of hoops to provide opportunity to "African Americans." The idea that they don't have opportunity is absolutely absurd. They do not have to demonstrate the same competence levels as others. They are effectively held to lower standards in numerous respects. Excuses are made for their failures and their successes are exaggerated. And it's really obvious.

At some point we're going to have to stop making excuses, blaming stuff that happened 50 or 150 years ago, etc., for the population level lack of success among "African Americans" in this country. Ridiculous stuff like invoking "White Privilege" when people of Asian ancestry have a higher median income than Whites do. And they don't get the "affirmative action" benefits that Blacks do. Just stop. It's a bunch of crap. Blacks have plenty of opportunity. They get MORE than equal opportunity and it's been that way for quite a while.
