Maher interviewed GJ last week, describing he and Weld as "classical Republicans" and Trump as "crazy Republican" (the evangelicals like him as proof). That bit about Trump is arguable but the part Maher left out was that Hillary is neo- Republican.

GJ is a fiscal conservative with a record of reigning in government. If he does the same as last time (1%) and Hillary wins, what does that say?

If he gets 10% and Hillary wins that suggests some conservative ideals still have traction.

I think if you were to present to the average man or woman on the street the views each of the candidates have with no names attached you'd find that a much larger group of people would find themselves in GJ's camp. The problem is, he has a marketing problem and very few folks even know he's an option. I'm guessing he'll poll around high single digits, but I hope he or someone like him is able to get traction as a viable candidate within the next couple of cycles.
