Who is Brian Kemp?
He’s a commie governor.

You realize the Disney "attack" was just the FL legislature removing its special privileges so that it is treated just like any other corporation in the state, right? Never seen the Left so angry at the gubmint for making a corporation pay its fair share in taxes.Ibanez wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 9:55 amHe isn't "biting back." he's engaging in the same abuse of power crap that Republicans complain about. The political left has used the police power of government to continuously go after right leaning companies and organizations for years now. That wasn't enough so I guess they decided to expand the attacks to enlist a super powerful woke corporation like Disney to go after a Conk state government. DeSantis decided to bite back and he's now the villain.![]()
The "anti-Disney" bill went through the proper channels via the state legislature. And see my post above regarding the "attack" on Disney. They are now just like any other corporation in FL.
And went on record to push the LGBTQXYZ agenda in kids programming. This is more than just Disney having an "opposing view".GannonFan wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:17 amWell, I think Disney did more than voice an opposing viewpoint. They did say they were going to exclusively financially support Democratic candidates for office as a result of this. I'm not saying anything DeSantis is doing here is remotely right, but it's not as if Disney was just issuing a press release to agree to disagree and left it at that.
The irony is coming and going in both directions.SDHornet wrote:You realize the Disney "attack" was just the FL legislature removing its special privileges so that it is treated just like any other corporation in the state, right? Anyone trying to push sex onto underage kids is grooming. There's nothing hard to grasp about this. Tranny day at the library/school/wherever is just an angle to try and normalize this depravity to kids that don't need to be dealing with this shit.
I'll say it again: anyone that is trying to talk to kids about sex is a groomer and/or pedo. Anyone defending this is aligned with groomers/pedos. This isn't hard to grasp.
Yeah, exactly the same. Donks cancel a pillow company because he dares to be public about his religious beliefs. Disney supports grooming children for predators.SDHornet wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 8:47 pmYou realize the Disney "attack" was just the FL legislature removing its special privileges so that it is treated just like any other corporation in the state, right? In other words, you have no answer to A, B or C. Because your post was weak. Here' I'll help you:
a) It's not abuse of power. He's doing EXACTLY what he was elected to do
B) It's not political theater, it's politics. Governing.
C) Godforfuckingbid he do things that appeal to his constituents and gets him reelected. Dumbass donks should try that strategy instead of insisting that THEY know best for everyone and then getting bludgeoned in the mid terms.![]()

You really think he was elected to fight with a company and force the taxpayers of 2 counties to take on a trillion dollar burden? He wasn't elected to fight with companies when they speak out against his policies. He was elected to serve every single resident, regardless of political affiliation, for the greater good. Tell me how revoking the special districts b/c Disney said something he didn't like about COVID, this bill and other things is what he was elected for? That's pretty ridiculous.
He isn't governing...he's throwing a hissy fit b/c he can't tolerate a differing POV.![]()
Tell you what - if a Governor decided to punish Hobby Lobby or Chick-fil-A over their comments on LGBT rights, you'd be calling for that Governors head.

https://www.npr.org/2022/04/26/10947406 ... -to-removeIn petitions sent to public school superintendents across the state, Chaz Stevens asked the districts to "immediately remove the Bible from the classroom, library, and any instructional material," Stevens wrote in the documents, which were shared with NPR. "Additionally, I also seek the banishment of any book that references the Bible."
His petitions cited a bill signed into law last month by Gov. Ron DeSantis, which lets parents object to educational materials. That bill came about after some parents complained about sexually explicit books being taught in Florida schools.……
Stevens proceeded to question whether the Bible is age-appropriate, pointing to its "casual" references to murder, adultery, sexual immorality, and fornication. "Do we really want to teach our youth about drunken orgies?"
He also took issue with the many Biblical references to rape, bestiality, cannibalism and infanticide. "In the end, if Jimmy and Susie are curious about any of the above, they can do what everyone else does – get a room at the Motel Six and grab the Gideons," he wrote.
Well i'm not a leftist so you can stop there. I would be equally bothered if a Democratic governor did this to a company.
MyPillow guy spreading lies and working to overturn a legitimate election is way worse than Disney saying they didn't approve of a bill.AZGrizFan wrote: ↑Wed Apr 27, 2022 9:57 pmYeah, exactly the same. Yep. Exactly the same. I can see why you’d think there’s irony there.
In Disney’s case they did it to themselves.

But it's the world we live in. And I guess it always has been. That's why we had Hitler.
Yup, I almost spit out laughing as soon as I read that line. He might not be the first, but I think that's the first CS time where DeSantis has now been compared to Hitler. However, considering JSO's track record (COVID, minority voting in the US, Joe Biden's mental state) he hasn't been right about anything in quite a while, so this could just be more of him being incorrect.AZGrizFan wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 7:11 pmJohnStOnge wrote: ↑Thu Apr 28, 2022 6:44 pm I was watching Desantis today. Yeah. DeSantis is exactly like Hitler.
You’ve officially fucking lost it.
So Hitler wasn’t a demagogue? Or you don’t think DeSantis is showing demagogue like tendencies?GannonFan wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 6:54 amYup, I almost spit out laughing as soon as I read that line. FFS comparisons to Hitler like this are just stupid. FDR is probably the American politician closest to Hitler because he rounded up American citizens and put them in camps and I wouldn't call him Hitler. Obama could be defined as a demagogue, Is he Hitler? Maybe we need to define them better.kalm wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 7:14 amSo Hitler wasn’t a demagogue? Calm down, Fiver. JSO didn’t make a direct comparison. As Fiver pointed out, DeSantis is no more of a demagogue then Obama was. I would add that most modern so-called progressive politicians also fit the definition of demagoguery. JSO's opinion of DeSantis is based on opposing ideology not reason. Fiver's response humorously pointed out the stupidity of JSO's observation.kalm wrote: ↑Fri Apr 29, 2022 9:32 amCalm down, Fiver.
